Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® is one of the most popular, most often used and most reliable dermal filler products on the market today and thousands of people each year opt for this particular treatment. It comprises mainly hyaluronic acid and is therefore a vegetarian and vegan friendly facial augmentation option.

Unlike some dermal filler that use chemicals and other man made compounds, Juvéderm® has been accepted as safe for use. This is because it consists mainly of hyaluronic acid; a natural substance found in the skin and tissues of most living animals, including humans. It was first isolated and used in baking in the 1940s and it then went on to cosmetic use some fifty years later in 1996. Juvéderm® has also been used to treat chronic joint pain since 1990, because its main function within the body is to keep skin hydrated and appearing to be plump. Because of this prolific use in a variety of industries and for over a decade in facial augmentation individuals looking into this particular dermal filler should be reassured of its safety. Several clinical trials have also shown Juvéderm®'s efficiency and quality of results which exceed those of bovine collagen dermal fillers.
