Mini Facelift Anatomy

Mini facelift anatomy

The difference between a mini facelift/ S facelift in a traditional facelift is that a mini facelift uses smaller incision area as and smaller tiny barb sutures, while those of the traditional facelift require heavy stitching.

Our body, particularly in the neck and head region can be thought of as layers of tissue that is stacked on top of one another. Our outer layer, the skin is lifted and tightened during a mini facelift procedure. If we were to simply list and tightened the skin of our face eventually it will lose its flexibility and natural looseness and ultimately stretch and lose its position. This is why Dr. Azizzadeh approaches the mini facelift with a more comprehensive approach. Dr. is user they would utilize a deeper layer that is more resistant to stretching and lift this area during a mini facelift procedure. Dr. Azizzadeh is able to alter these underlying tissues without heavy tension to the skin giving you a tighter and more natural appearance.
